Jumeirah Beach Park is one of the favorite outdoor entertainment areas for around two decades. Being the oldest outdoor entertainment in the Emirate, Jumeirah Beach Park spreads across 14 hectares of area with vast beaches and park. Its white sandy beaches and the green grasslands continuous to lure visitors round the globe. It is quite a spectacular view with the blue beaches alongside golden shore and green pastures.
Jumeirah Beach Park is fully equipped with adequate beach facilities such as swimming pool, rescue services, seats and sunshades, beach sport activities including basketball, handball and volleyball fields, children’s playgrounds, excursion areas and barbeque facilities, restaurants, cafeterias, prayer areas, day exclusively for ladies, public facilities services and many more.
The park also provides plenteous facilities keeping in mind the requirements of people of special needs. Right from its inception, Jumeirah Beach Park’s facilities are implemented specially to meet the special community. Parking lots are specifically allotted to the entry gates and special public facility services are designed to meet their needs.
Jumeirah Beach has been temporarily closed and is expected to be reopened by the end of 2016. The Roads and Transport Authority have made it clear that the park would undergo modifications. A canal project is upcoming to enhance the waterfront to the Jumeirah Beach Park and a public beach running to 1.5 kilometers. The proposed waterfront consists of walkways and sitting areas, jogging tracks, cafes and small kiosks. The expansion project along the Jumeirah Beach is intended to meet the requirements to conduct events and festival. During the first phase, pedestrian bridges will also be constructed across the canal. And later, it is estimated to include small bridges across the Jumeirah Road and Al Wasl Road which covers the pedestrian bridge linking the Safa Park Walk and the Jumeirah Beach.
